Welcome to the Cross Clan homepage!

Primarily this website is a place that will allow extended family members and friends a place to come and keep up to date with the events in the life of the Cross Clan from downunda!!

In this website I hope to offer some insight into our lives and the special interests that we hold. As the site grows, I plan to enlighten you with our photo galleries, forums and web pages to share our family moments with you all.

There are six of us in our immediate family and as skills and interests evolve I would like to see them have their own pages too.

I genuinely feel blessed by God to have the lifestyle I have as well as being bejewelled with such a beautiful wife, three gorgeous girls and a handsome little boy to enrich my already rewarding life.

I hope you enjoy this site and please feel free to offer any feedback.

God bless!

Neil

New Additions to the Cross Clan

Last night we picked up 2 new additions to the Cross Clan - 2 lovely guinea pigs we have names Pinky and Perky! Pinky seems to be an Albino as he has pink eyes, but is white with brown patches. Perky is also white with brown patches. They are much loved and doted on already - getting combed and...

New Chicks for Hayley's birthday

Today Hayley was given 3 new chicks by her good friend Eden for her birthday. They will probably go down as the most easily remembered 10th birthday present. Hayley has named them Eden, Goldie and Butterscotch. Hopefully they are all females and appear to be Rhode Island Reds (hence the names!)....

A girly day to the Theatre to see "Little Women"

Today the 4 Cross girls went to see "Little Women" at the Seymour Theatre in Sydney with our friends Kylie, Eden, Cyndi and Hannah. We left at lunchtime and arrived back very late! We had a great time. The production was amazing with only simple props but immaculate costumes and amazing performers....

Work in the Backyard

Since we got home, we've been busy in the yard - inspired by our hardworking farming friends and our desire to be more selfsufficient! Neil has rewired the openair roof over the chicken compound ready for new passionfruit plants, and made the compound more foxproof. We've...

We're back from Holidays

We got back last Friday from our 2 week holiday around the Central West of New South Wales. The highlights of the trip were visits to see Penny's bridesmaids Sarah and Margot and their families on their farms at Molong and near Forbes, and a visit to Penny's friend from school Cheryl...

Holiday time!

Term 1 is nearly finished - I can't believe April is here already but I think we all need a break! People often ask if we have holidays when the schools do. We do as we like to catch up with friends and family who go to school and we usually need a change in routine by the time the...

2 Years Registration

The Cross Homeschool has been registered for another 2 years! Lucy will need to be registered in November when she turns 6. Registration went smoothly and we all enjoyed showing Mr Galbraith all the great things we've done in the last year and what we're hoping to do in the next year or so.

Homeschool Registration

The Cross Homeschool is up for registration in April - one year after we began our homeschooling journey. On 31st March our inspector is coming to view our school and see if we're doing OK! Hopefully all will go well and we will get 2 years registration.

Jesus is risen!

Next weekend we celebrate Easter - the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus the Son of God! It is a weird celebration - a mixture of happiness and sadness that Jesus had to come to the world to die a horrible death on a cross so that we might be forgiven for all the wrong things we've done,...
